The Peruvian Porter was one of the many porters that accompanied Indiana Jones on his attempt to find the Chachapoyan Fertility Idol in 1936.

Biography

The Peruvian Porter was hired along other porters by American archaeologist Indiana Jones to accompany him to find the Temple of the Chachapoyan Warriors, where according to many, there was the legendary Chachapoyan Fertility Idol.

However, after clearing away some brush around an eight-foot tall Chachapoyan statue, this porter was frightened away by both the demonic idol, and the bats or birds that flew out of it.[1] Running away from the statue, the porter didn't continue on the expedition with Jones, Barranca and Satipo.

Behind the scenes

The Peruvian Porter was portrayed by the credited actor and stuntman Ted Grossman in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

In LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures, the Peruvian Porter is absent from the Peru sequence, being the other porters along Barranca and Satipo the ones whoi accompany Indy. However, after one porter is killed by an Hovito and other poter falls to his death by a ravine, Indiana discovers the demonic idol, and it's Barranca who is scared off by the bats, saving his life.
