Indiana Jones Wiki

Peter Paul Costello was an Irish man living in his country around 1947.

Biography[]

Peter Paul Costello was a childhood friend of Constable Michael O'Leary and attended his wedding. His friend disappeared sometime after 1937, and Costello blamed the druids for it, and the local "curse" around the Coastal Abbey. A regular at The Thirsty Hog pub, he always sought to find evidence and deliver it to the county authorities.

One night in 1947 Indiana Jones entered the bar and showed to be asking for information. Costello was more than eager to invite him to his table, despite the other punters, like Liam Finney, tried to tell him to mind his business. The archaeologist needed directions to the nearby monastery as part of his search for the Philosopher's Stone.[1]

Costello saw it an opportunity to find the evidence he needed to blame the druids and, ignoring the punters who tried to dissuade him, led the stranger outside. They passed by Reilley's Smithy and reached the ruins. There he saw lights in the ancient grove which he foolhardily started to follow, Jones running after him. He stopped him but it was too late.

After they reached the abbey, a cult of Druids captured them. Their priestess, Collette Godsen, used one of the three pieces of the Philosopher's Stone to sacrifice Costello by turning him into a human topiary. Indiana Jones, however, escaped the same fate and got away with the artifact.[1]
