Philip Stone (April 14, 1924 – June 15, 2003) was a British actor who portrayed Captain Phillip Blumburtt in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Before Temple of Doom, Stone had a small role in the 1965 James Bond film Thunderball, which starred Sean Connery (who would later go on to play Henry Jones Sr. in Last Crusade).
He also appeared in the 1971 film Quest for Love, which also featured Denholm Elliott (who would later go on to play Marcus Brody in both Raiders of the Lost Ark and Last Crusade).
Notably, he provided the voice of Théoden, King of Rohan, in the 1978 animated film The Lord of the Rings, which also featured the voices of Anthony Daniels (who would later go on to play Francois in Attack of the Hawkmen) and John Hurt (who would later go on to play Harold Oxley in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).
Additionally, he appeared in the 1979 film S.O.S. Titanic, in which he played Arthur Rostron, captain of the RMS Carpathia, the ship responsible for rescuing the survivors of the sinking of the RMS Titanic.
Furthermore, he appeared in the 1981 film Green Ice, which also featured Michael Sheard (who would later go on to play Adolf Hitler in Last Crusade).
