Pierre Duclos was a French photographer.

Biography[]

in May 1908, Pierre Duclos was the onsite photographer for the Howard Carter dig near the Valley of the Kings in Luxor. He became implicated in the murder of Rasheed Sallam when a powder similar to that used for a camera flash was found on the body and Duclos was seen acting suspiciously around the camp.[1]

In actuality, Duclos was simply taking pictures in secret that he could sell for the newspaper story and helped the young Indiana Jones and T. E. Lawrence discover the true culprit.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Pierre Duclos was played by British television presenter/comedian Tony Robinson in the "Egypt, 1908" portions of Young Indiana Jones and the Curse of the Jackal, later edited into My First Adventure.[1] For additional bridging scenes added to My First Adventure, an uncredited double was used to play Duclos, Vincent Abaeda.[2]
