Pio was a parrot.
Biography[]
A parrot, Pio was kept by Father Orlando Ricci. However, when Ricci revealed himself as the leader of the Cult of Mithras to Indiana Jones on October 23, 1937, he abandoned Pio in the process of making his escape. For his part, Jones released Pio trusting that the bird, who had been a brief but useful ally that day, was smart enough to find someone more loyal.[1]
Personality and traits[]
Pio was a fiercely intelligent bird able to understand words in English and repeat them back in Italian.[1]
