The Piute Summoning Stone was one of the prized pieces of the National Museum.[1]
Around 1936, the artifact as stolen by Ian McIver and taken to the monastery of Mere d'Amitie, a front for international crime. That year, archaeologist Indiana Jones recovered it from France at the behest of friend and curator Marcus Brody.[1]
