The Ponte Sant'Angelo is a bridge in Rome, Italy which crosses the Tiber River from Castel Sant'Angelo.

History[]

Around October 1937, a group of Blackshirts stationed along the Tiber River put in a request for more motorboats after one of their number wrecked a previous vehicle trying to race from the Ponte Sant'Angelo to Isola Tiberina.[2]

Unfortunately for them, their remaining working boat was stolen on October 23 by archaeologist Indiana Jones and taken into the Cloaca Maxima.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The Ponte Sant'Angelo appears in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.[1] However, it wasn't named directly until it was referenced in the DLC story expansion "The Order of Giants".[2]
