Quintus was a member of the Cult of Mithras operating below Rome, Italy around the time of Emperor Nero. He had reached the sixth degree of initiation–the Heliodromus–and was responsible for choosing who among the men would guard the Tauroctony Chamber that housed the Emperor's champion.[1]
Centuries later, archaeologist Indiana Jones found a copy of the Roman-era guard rotation when he gained access to the Monster's Gate.[1]
