Roberto Rossi was the Party Secretary for the Fascists of Florence, Italy around October 1937.

Biography[]

By the October of 1937, Roberto Rossi's daughter Maria was engaged to Pietro Bianchi, a Blackshirt stationed in Rome, Italy. On October 23, however, Bianchi was killed by Mithraistic cultists while investigating the Cloaca Maxima, two days before his intended departure date to get married.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Through in-game documentation, the Cult of Mithras in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is indicated to have close associations with powerful positions such as within the local police force and the Vatican's infrastructure. Robert Rossi share his surnames with a cultist named in a list of members that Indiana Jones (the player) can discover.[1]

As there's no indication either way on whether or not Rossi actually approves of his daughter's choice of fiancé, Bianchi's demise could be mere coincidental timing just as easily as it could be an opportunity presenting itself for a family matter to be settled. However, the cultist Rossi had attained the position of Nymphus: "Bridegroom".[1]
