Roger Seymour was a wealthy Englishman and distant cousin of Helen Margaret Seymour.
Biography[]
Roger Seymour made his fortune in India during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, where he was involved in trade and exploration. During his time there, he acquired the Shalimar Diamond, an enormous and legendary gemstone believed to have originated from an ancient Indian temple. Some claimed that the jewel was sacred and that a curse would befall anyone who took it from its rightful place.[1]
After returning to England, Roger Seymour's life took a dark turn. He died suddenly and mysteriously, with doctors unable to determine the cause. His wife had already passed away in India, and within a week of Roger's death, his only son was also killed—allegedly during a robbery. The thief was not able to escape with the Shalimar Diamond, leading to speculation that all the deaths were connected to the diamond's supposed curse.[1]
Following his death, Roger's fortune and the Shalimar Diamond passed to his only living blood relative, Helen Seymour.[1]
