When young Indy was pulled out of the lion car, Rough Rider has a gun pointed at him. The next scene quickly shifts and his gun is down, with Garth's hand on it. There may have been a small scene in between that Garth had Rough Rider lower the gun that was cut.

Rough Rider was a member of the grave robbing gang led by Garth, which recovered the Cross of Coronado from a Utah canyon in 1912.

Biography

After Indiana Jones stole the Cross, Rough Rider chased Indy and fought him on the circus train. During the fight, Rough Rider and Half Breed followed Indy into the reptile car and got momentarily trapped. Rough Rider used his pistol to unlock the train car door, and later drew his pistol on Indy after helping to hoist Indy out of the lion car.

Rough Rider later appeared at the Joneses household when Garth reclaimed the Cross with police assistance.
