The Royal Siamese Army formed part of the national armed forces of Siam (contemporary Thailand).
History[]
By 1937, an army general with Fascist sympathies helped enable Third Reich Special Antiquities Collection archaeologist Emmerich Voss's excavation of Sukhothai, which was backed by Mussolini's Royal Italian Army, and dismissed reports that the Nazis were looting artifacts by claiming that the military presence was a cultural exchange.[1]
In November of that year, Indiana Jones destroyed a Nazi gold cache which Voss had reserved to pay off the Siamese general.[1]
