The Russian Federation is the successor state to the Soviet Union. Its security was handled by the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation.
In the 21st century, the Federal Security Service publicly released the information contained in Indiana Jones' journal as well as providing its contents to intelligence operatives in North Korea's Research Department for External Intelligence, China's Ministry of State Security, and the America Department of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee.[1]
