Seppuku, also known as harakiri, is a form of Japanese honor-based, ritualistic suicide.
In 1936, Japanese archaeologist Professor Kobayashi reached out to his colleague, Indiana Jones, to warn the man that members of the Imperial Army had launched a plot to unleash a dragon discovered in the Himalayas by Kobayashi's expedition upon the USA. However, the Japanese professor, who had helped Jones out of gratitude for the American saving his life two years earlier, was unable to live with betraying his own country and committed seppuku, leaving behind a grieving daughter.
