The "Sewer Cat" was a feline that had found its way way into the Cloaca Maxima of Rome in October 1937. ArchaeologistIndiana Jones, who was investigating unusual activity in the sewer, was surprised to see the cat. Suspecting that it was biting of more than it could chew in trying to find sport with the local rat population, gently chastised the "brave kitty" before resuming his exploration.[1]
