The Shafiq-Barclay family was an Anglo-Egyptian family of which Dame Nawal Shafiq-Barclay was part. Family members included:

- Layla Shafiq - Famous nightclub singer and apparent matriarch
- Nawal Shafiq-Barclay - Shipping magnate, philanthropist and Cairo Museum associate
Upon the passing of the Shafiq-Barclay family's patriarch, Nawal invested her inheritance into ventures that established her as a successful figure within the shipping industry. She eventually found romance through her relationship with Doctor Laura Lombardi but their pairing came apart over tensions surrounding Lombardi's priorities.[1]
