The Ship's Captain captained the steamer in May, 1908 that took the Joneses to Egypt on Professor Henry Jones' world lecture tour. The family joined him for a meal where the captain was interested to find that Indiana Jones had been studying mummies.
Pressing the boy for more information, Jones went into detail for the captain about the embalming process and the sailor found himself beginning to feel nauseated so he excused himself from the table.
