The Shouting Inmate was incarcerated at the Nazca sanatorium of Anthony de Padua in Peru, 1957. The man yelled at Mutt Williams and Indiana Jones as they were being shown to Harold Oxley's former cell.
Behind the scenes
The role of the Shouting Inmate was played by Gustavo Hernandez.
In the novelization, Williams translates one of the man's babbles as "archaeologist" and approaches him, only to be grabbed by the man. Jones managed to pull Williams back, and the two continue onto Oxley's cell.
