A woman was the mother of the British boy Sidney, the young protege of Professor Aldrich Savage. In October 1937, upon Sidney's capture by the Blackshirts after Father Cesare Ventura halted Savage's excavation at the Vatican's Apostolic Palace, Savage implored "Father Gallagher" (actually the disguised American archaeologist Indiana Jones) to help him save his apprentice, not wanting to face the wrath of Sidney's mother should she learn of the boy's misadventure. Much later in Giza, Egypt, when Sidney got into trouble with Third Reich Special Antiquities Collection agent Emmerich Voss and his Nazis, Savage told "Gallagher" that his charge's mother would strangle him of she were to find out.[1]
