Skywalker Ranch was the workplace of filmmaker George Lucas and still functions as one of the global campuses for Lucasfilm Ltd. Located in California, the ranch predominantly serves as the base of operations for Lucasfilm's sound division: Skywalker Sound.
The ranch also houses the Lucasfilm Research Library which forms part of the Lucasfilm Archives.
