South Eastern and Chatham Railway (SE&CR) was a British railway company that operated in the early 20th century.
During Henry Jones's world lecture tour, the Jones family and Miss Seymour took a green SE&CR locomotive from Nice in the French Riviera to reach Paris, the French capital.
Behind the scenes[]
The use of a South Eastern and Chatham Railway train for the bridging material in The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones chapter Passion for Life is likely archive footage not intended to be taken at face value. While the real SE&CR operated in the south east of England and even owned ferries which made connections between the country and France across the Engish Channel, the chances of their trains running as far as the Mediterranean Basin in 1908 would have been slim.
