This article covers an Indiana Jones project that was cancelled, cut or otherwise unreleased. While some aspects of the material may find their way into subsequent products or tie-ins, this type of material is generally not considered canon.
"Spear of Destiny" is the name given to a proposed LucasArts video game follow-up to Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. It was set to be the first LucasArts title to be produced externally but, according to former employee Hal Barwood, the company was unable to make the arrangement with the other studio work so the project was ultimately cancelled.[1][2]
However, due to the similar production background to Indiana Jones and the Iron Phoenix, another unreleased video game with a troubled development, "Spear of Destiny" may simply be Iron Phoenix under a misremembered title.[3]
