Steven Allan Spielberg is a filmmaker.
Biography[]
In 1986, Steven Spielberg won the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award.[1]
He used to wear a cap saying E.T. II.[2]
Jock Lindsey once got Spielberg off some island. To thank him, Spielberg donated the tooth of a Tyrannosaurus Rex to his bar with the message "Thanks for getting me off the island -S.".[3]
Spielberg's portrait was hung among others at a barber shop visited by Guybrush Threepwood.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
In real life, Steven Spielberg is the co-creator of the Indiana Jones franchise, serving as the director of the first four films and as the executive producer of the fifth one.[5][6][7][8][9]
In his appearance in LEGO Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Brick, Spielberg wears a cap saying E.T. II[2] as a reference to E.T. II: Nocturnal Fears, the planned sequel for his classic film E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, which was ultimately cancelled.[10]
Spielberg makes a cameo as photo in Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine's Aetherium level. The player is teleported to the Barbery Coast, a location from the Curse of Monkey Island, decorated with portraits of behind-the-scenes people, including Spielberg.[4]
Spielberg is alluded to at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar at Disneyland as "S." with the dinosaur tooth and the thanking message.[3] It's alleged that the item was actually donated to the bar by Spielberg himself which serves as an easter egg in reference to both the director's 1993 film Jurassic Park - which featured a theme park of genetically engineered dinosaurs with the T-Rex as its best known attraction - and Jock's actor, pilot Fred Sorenson, having rescued Spielberg and other crew members stranded by Hurricane Iniki while filming on the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i.
