Sun Wukong was the Monkey King.
Biography[]
Born from a rock, Sun Wukong wielded a staff, possessed a flying cloud and was partial to immortality granting heavenly peaches of Hsi Wang Mu.
In 1934, members of the Adventure Society competed against the Man with the Silver Eye in Tibet to win the Monkey King's favor.
Behind the scenes[]
Sun Wukong is the main character from the 16th century Chinese novel Journey to the West.
He was to appear in Indiana Jones and the Monkey King, a proposed idea for the third Indiana Jones film but the script was dropped in favor of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
