Sweden is a Nordic country on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe. It was home to the ancient Norse cultures. During the time of Indiana Jones, Sweden had lost control of Norway in 1905, remained neutral during World War I, and was officially neutral (though under strong German influence) in World War II, though many Swedes contributed toward the defense of Finland from the Soviet Union, and nearly all of Denmark's Jews were able to escape to Sweden. Throughout the Cold War, Sweden continued a policy of neutrality.
Adventures in Sweden[]
It contains information cut from the final release of an Indiana Jones medium, or otherwise unpublished. Everything said in this section and not elsewhere did not happen in the "proper" Indiana Jones continuity.
Indiana Jones visited Stockholm in December, 1909 as part of his father's world lecture tour and met Selma Lagerlöf.[1]
As a spy during World War I, Jones adopted the cover identity of Swedish reporter Nils Anderson in Istanbul, 1918.[2]
In 1930, Indiana Jones met Theresa Lawrence in Sweden, while trying to stay ahead of Forrestal in the exploration of the Temple of Old Uppsala.[3]
