Syracuse is a historic city on the Italian island of Sicily. The city is notable for its rich Greek and Roman history, culture and as the birthplace and home of the mathematician and engineer Archimedes.
History[]
In 1969, Indiana Jones and Helena Shaw traveled to Syracuse to retrieve the second half of the Antikythera from Archimedes' tomb, only for Jürgen Voller and his Nazi accomplices to take it from them, who were transported back in time to the Siege of Syracuse in 214 BC with Jones as a hostage.[1]
