When was this specified as "non-canon?" I mean, I realize it's probably not ever specified as canon, but it was officially licensed and doesn't conflict with anything else. It actually adds to the Indiana Jones mythos (further adventures with Short Round), while giving an explanation for Sasquatch (which is not, as far as I can tell, described anywhere else).

It obviously conflicts with Star Wars, but that's neither here nor there, as they're two different franchises. It shouldn't be "non-canon" unless we have a source or more information. The best we should do is make it "ambiguously canon." Jones went through a lot more crazier stuff than simply running into the remains of an ancient UFO and humanoid alien one time.--Tim Thomason 22:41, March 25, 2010 (UTC)

  • Oh I agree with wanting it canon if only to get the visual of an older Short Round in there. I suppose it's not because it's Jones playing in a different franchise like LEGO Star Wars and Yoda Stories there isn't official word as far as I know. Maybe try asking Leland Chee? • Well, Yoda Stories is sorta kinda treated as canon on the Bug-Eyes page, and it's a continuation of his appearance in Desktop Adventures. The appearance in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga isn't part of the story (just gameplay) and is an easter egg, so there isn't really anything "storywise" about it (from what I understand). LEGO Star Wars: Quest for R2-D2 features a short (miss it if you blink) cameo by Indy on Tatooine going through Jawa merchandise. I think it's safe to conclude that as a humorous cameo vs. actual activity (did Bug-Eyes from Xantar take him to Tatooine too?).
    • Of course, the idea that they're all "Star Wars productions" as opposed to "Indiana Jones productions" isn't lost on me, and that's a good argument canonicity. I've sent in a message to Chee, but don't expect an answer for several months (if ever).--Tim Thomason 04:44, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
      • I just don't think he appreciates answering questions from one guy. Or a Wiki. ;) Vetinari(Appointment) 12:51, March 26, 2010 (UTC)
