Year of Death[]
Should there be any note made of the fact that while Voller and his lackeys technically died in 212 BC due to time travel, they died in the year 1969 in their own personal timeline? I was thinking of something like "212 BC (Time displaced from 1969)" as a way to be more accurate as to what occurred. I put this in the talk page as opposed to making an edit as I am uncertain if there is any policy on this subject, as this isn't really something that's applied on this wiki before. - Dying in the past is also his personal timeline. Cause of death should be in the main body of the article (and intro probably). Plus clicking the year with explain how at some point. Personally I heard it as 214 BC but haven't watched it enough times. Vetinari(Appointment) 10:10, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- It's not his personal timeline, as this was a Voller who had lived to the year 1969, having been born presumably some time in the 1910s (Though we obviously don't know the exact year). He didn't live to 212 BC, he lived until 1969, when he was sent back and died in 212 BC. It's obviously a complicated topic, but I just feel that saying "he died in 212 BC" doesn't properly say what actually happened. And it was, indeed, 212 BC, as that is when the actual, historical Siege of Syracuse ended. Kpengie (Message Wall) 20:29, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hey Vetinari! As for Jürgen Voller's (and by extension Klaber's) death date, if I remember correctly, they die in 212 BC during the Siege of Syracuse, as Indy mentions in the film that Archimedes built the Antikythera in 213 BC. If that's when the Dial was built, then how Voller, Klaber and Archimedes could have died one year prior to the Dial's creation? X9 The Android 02:11, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Putting it in the main article explains it. Indy does say 214 BC on the plane having rewatched. I'm wondering if the principles of Voller's watch is how Archimedes completes the dial. Vetinari(Appointment) 17:42, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
