The Cat and Fiddle was a pub located in the Welsh coal mining town of Merthyr Tydfil.
History[]
In 1936, Indiana Jones, Marcus Brody and Marion Ravenwood visited The Cat and Fiddle to see if the locals knew where to find Austin Coleridge, an associate of Ben Ali Ayoob, who had taken control of the local coal mine. However, Coleridge had crippled Merthyr Tydfil's mining community by replacing the workers with machines in a clandestine industrial effort to access the Lucifer Chamber so patrons of the drinking establishment mistook Jones and his companions' for friends of Coleridge which led to a brawl breaking out in the pub.[1]
Nazi assassin Hans Degen later visited The Cat and Fiddle while hunting down Indiana Jones.[1]
