The Nutty HML 5 was a British Mark I Tank that participated in the Second Battle of Gaza during World War I.
History[]
In 1917, The Nutty, along with a few others, was one of the tanks that supported the main British force during Second Battle of Gaza. It was spotted by Ottoman forces and fired upon by field guns. The tank promptly returned fire and damaged parts of the town. Unlike some of the other vehicles, it avoided destruction from the initial bombardment but started to receive heavy fire as the battle continued.

A real Mark I Tank with a very similar name did participate in the Second Battle of Gaza called "HMLS Nutty". It may be that these two tanks are intended to be one and the same with the "5" in the name meant to be a "S", finishing the acronym HMLS: His Majesty's Land Ship. If so, the tank is inaccurately portrayed as a 'male' tank when it should be a 'female' tank. Male tanks had 6 pounder guns and machine guns, females only had machine guns. HMLS Nutty was ultimately destroyed during the battle.
