The Sea Witch was the leader of the Sargasso Pirates in 1939.
Biography
The Sea Witch lead the Sargasso Pirates in the early part of the 20th century. At some point, she lost her left eye in a fight with a kraken. She met former U-boat captain Segar after his ship was wounded by a dreadnought and trapped in the Sargasso Sea in 1916. The Sea Witch named him her quartermaster of her vessel, The Freedom.[1]
In 1939, she captured Dr. Indiana Jones, his "brother" New Jersey, Cairo and Captain Bill Lawton. Lawton was freed after he told her he was of the sea. For Jones, however, The Sea Witch decided to test Jones by having him leap between two ships as the kraken which took her eye waited below. Jones successfully made the jump but the plank he landed on splintered and he was forced to fend off the beast itself. When he did, The Sea Witch granted him passage.[1]
