Thomas Kretschmann (born September 8, 1962) is a German actor, best known for playing German or German-accented characters.
On April 22, 2021, TheWrap reported that Kretschmann had joined the production of the fifth theatrical Indiana Jones film in an undisclosed role,[1] later revealed to be Colonel Weber.[2] He also worked on the picture's script as German Language Consultant.
Krestchman is perhaps best known for his roles in movies like Stalingrad, The Pianist, Downfall, Resident Evil: Apocalypse, King Kong, Valkyrie, Cars 2 and A Taxi Driver among others. He gained some fame for his portrayal of Baron Wolfgang von Strucker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (starring along with Toby Jones) and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
