Titian was a sixteenth century Italian painter.
The French Army's General Staff Headquarters in Souilly was said to have several large oil paintings adorning the walls, including a Titian.[1]
Walter Donovan owned some of Titian's work and kept it at his Venetian apartment around 1938. That year, while staying in Venice, Marcus Brody spoke of Titian's Presentation of the Virgin being part of the Galleria dell'Accademia's art collection to Indiana Jones.[2]
