Troy Baker (born April 1, 1976) is an American voice actor, actor and musician who has played many characters primarily in animation and video games, while also having a few music albums. He was born in Dallas, Texas, United States of America.
On January 18, 2024, following the release of the gameplay trailer of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Entertainment Weekly reported that Troy Baker had been cast as the voice of Indiana Jones for the game. Lead game designer Jerk Gustafsson credited Baker's casting to his charm, sense of humor and his love for the Indiana Jones franchise.[1] Baker has also worked on the fellow Lucasfilm Ltd. franchise Star Wars.
Baker is perhaps best known for his video game performances like Joel Miller in The Last of Us franchise, Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, Samuel Drake (the brother of Nathan Drake, a character often compared to Indiana Jones) in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Rhys Strongfork in Tales from the Borderlands, Snow Villiers in Final Fantasy XIII, Kanji Tatsumi in Persona 4, Talion in the Middle-earth video games, Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 5 and Higgs Monaghan in Death Stranding. Other works of his have seen him voicing comic book characters like Batman, The Joker, Hawkeye and Loki and lending his voice to English dubs of animes.
Baker also has the current record for the most acting nominations at the BAFTA Game Awards, gaining five between 2013 and 2021.
