The True Cross is reputed to be remnants of the original cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified.

Some of the Cross was alleged to be within the collection of the Museum of Oddities, a small museum in Stuttgart, Germany mostly dismissed as a tourist trap rather than a place of authentic historical interest by an unknown archaeologist working for the Smithsonian Institution when they visited the establishment in January 1932.[1]

A piece of the relic was also rumored to be contained within the seventh or eighth century crucifix that would later form part of the larger Cross of Coronado sought out by archaeologist Indiana Jones in 1938.[2]
