Tuk-tuk 2390 was a red tuk-tuk driven by Helena Shaw in a wild chase after Jürgen Voller in 1969[1]. The three-wheeled vehicle had room for a single driver in the front, and one or two passengers in the back. The tuk-tuk sides were painted red with some light blue trim on the front, and had white lettering in Arabic on the front and sides, along with the number 2390.
History[]
In 1969, Helena Shaw drove the tuk-tuk during a dangerous chase while she pursued Jürgen Voller in his Mercedes. With Teddy Kumar in the back seat, Shaw bickered with Indiana Jones driving his tuk-tuk beside her. Shaw zipped around slower traffic, while staying ahead of the pursuing Green Jaguar and motorcycle. After rounding a corner, the Jaguar slammed into the back of her tuk-tuk, causing her to swerve into Jones' tuk-tuk. Jones was about to collide head-on with a large truck, when he leapt onto the back of Shaw's vehicle. The Jaguar accelerated again, hoping to hit Jones dangling off the back, but he used the Jaguar's hood to climb up and spin around into the tuk-tuk's rear seat. Shaw turned the tuk-tuk onto a side street, but the windshield was hit by gunfire from the motorcycle. Hatching a plan, Shaw used her tuk-tuk to clip a cart carrying long bamboo poles as she passed. The cart swung around, and the motorcycle crashed directly into the pointy poles.
Behind the scenes[]
The Arabic writing on the front left of the vehicle reads "Transport of goods."
