The Tunguska explosion was an incident that occured near the Tunguska River in Siberia in 1908.
History[]
On June 30, 1908,[1] near the near the Tunguska River in Siberia, a being of unearthly origin crashed with the force of one thousand atomic bombs. The body was collected and dissected by the Russians who passed off the explosion as a meteoric event.[2]
There were no witnesses to the event itself with travelers of the partially completed Trans-Siberian railroad claiming to have seen a fiery streak in the sky just prior to the blast.[1]
The night sky of the northern hemisphere was brightly illuminated for several days after the event which was later concluded by a meteorologist in 1930 to have been directly caused by the blast throwing dirt and dust into the atomosphere. Microscopic particles of non-terrestrial origin were found without evidence of a meteor.[1]
While an alien visitation was not considered out of the question, other theories for the blast included a passing miniature black hole and experiments carried out by the Russians themselves.[1]
In 1957, Irina Spalko spoke of the Tunguska explosion to Indiana Jones while explaining that the body recovered after the Roswell incident was not the first.[2]
