Indiana Jones ill with typhoid.
Typhoid fever is an illness. A vaccine was created for typhoid in 1888 which opened up the ability for jungle exploration.[1]
In 1910, Indiana Jones contracted typhoid in China and almost died were it not for the skills of local doctor, Wen Ch-Iu.[2]
Karl Ludwing, the heir of Austria-Hungary, died of typhoid in 1896.[3]
