The United States Army is the principal land warfare force of the United States of America and forms part of the US Armed Forces along with the US Navy and the US Air Force.
The United States join World War I as an "Associated Power" in 1917 on the side of the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and the other Allies.
In December 1941, after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the US joined World War II on the side of the UK, the Soviet Union and France. Following the defeat of Nazi Germany, tensions between the Soviet Union and the United States ultimately led to the Cold War and several other conflicts such as the Vietnam War.

In 1936, Eaton and Musgrove of United State Army Intelligence met with Indiana Jones to enlist his services in capturing the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis.
Around 1969, Jones' son, Mutt Williams, was killed fighting in the Vietnam War after he had enlisted in the US Army to annoy his father. That year, a US Army unit arrived in Tangier, Morocco to assist the CIA's apprehension of Dr. Jürgen Voller, alias "Professor Schmidt", and his associates when he went rogue pursuing the Antikythera. However, the one of the unit's Sea Stallion helicopters was hijacked by Voller's men and the crew on-board were killed, including agent Mason.
