The University of Dresden (Technische Universität Dresden) is located in Dresden, Germany.[1]

After 1921, following his dismissal from the University of Chicago for leaving Indiana Jones for dead in his attempt to get the Jade Sphere from the Temple of the Cosmos, Magnus Völler returned to complete his archaeology studies in Europe, doing so at his undergraduate alma mater in the University of Dresden.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The University of Dresden was only mentioned in Rob MacGregor's unpublished novelization of the Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings video game, as a means to expand on the background of Magnus Völler.[1] The game itself has no references to where Völler studied other than the University of Chicago,[2] and given how Indycron keeper Leland Chee stated during an interview with TheRaider.net in 2010 that a copy of MacGregor's completed manuscript never reached him,[3] it's unclear how much, if any, information about the University of Dresden is part of the Indiana Jones canon.

In real life, the University of Dresden, founded in 1828, is best known as the TU Dresden.
