Magnus

Magnus Völler, the family's most prominent member, in 1939.

The Völler family was a German family of which Magnus Völler was part. Family members included:

A family involved in their country's politics, the Völlers got closer to their government not only through Rudolf's involvement in the Thule Society, but from Magnus' rise within the Nazi Party's ranks, being appointed to look for antiquities by Adolf Hitler's right-hand Heinrich Himmler himself.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Völler family was set to be fleshed out in Rob MacGregor's unpublished novelization of Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings as a means to expand on Magnus Völler's background.[1] The game itself has no references at all to Völler's family,[2] and given how Indycron keeper Leland Chee stated during an interview with TheRaider.net in 2010 that a copy of MacGregor's completed manuscript never reached him,[3] it's unclear how much, if any, information about the Völler family is part of the Indiana Jones canon.
