Via Appia Antica is an ancient Roman roadway which runs south through Italy from the nation's capital.

History[]

A section of Via Appia Antica was contained within Vatican City. By October 1937, Giovanni was the chef for a restaurant in the Borgia Courtyards at Via Appia Antica 49.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Via Appia Antica, the Appian Way, is a real Roman road in Italy. However, its inclusion within the boundaries of the Vatican for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an embellishment for the game as the road begins further south.[1]
