Vyperion Rex was the king of a break away sect of Shintay banished from Atlantis eons before the 20th century. "From his Skull Palace, Vyperion rule[d] his ancient cult of death with an iron fist and a very cold heart." The king spoke English, having been taught by a British missionary who stumbled upon the lost colony and was eventually put to death. Vyperion was shot to death by Colonel Curt Johan Vogel as the Germans attempted to escape.
