A college student emits a Wilhelm in the fourth Indiana Jones film.
The Wilhelm scream is a stock sound effect first recorded in 1951 for Raoul Wash's film Distant Drums.
It has been featured in hundreds of movies since including the Indiana Jones movies and television episodes, as well as fellow Lucasfilm Ltd. franchise Star Wars.
On February 21, 2018, Lucasfilm sound editor Matthew Wood revealed that the Wilhelm scream would no longer be used in any of their upcoming Star Wars films following the release of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, being retired in favor of a new stock sound effect.[1]
