According to legend, Romulus and Remus were found and suckled by a she-wolf,[1]
The peasantry living near the ruins of Vlad Tepes' castles believed that the wolves and bats which inhabited the ruins were spirits in animal shapes.[2]
In 1936 Indiana Jones met a pack of wolves while infiltrating Juan Soto's plantation.[3]
In 1947, Indy encountered wolves in the Tian Shan mountain range while searching for the first part of the Infernal Machine. He used his revolver to scare them off.[4]
