Xibalbá was the Mayan hell.
After his Funeral Mask was stolen in the mid-1930s and fearing that would send him to Xibalbá, Pacal Hunac asked Indiana Jones to retrieve it for him.
During his conflict with the Nacom, Indy visited a barren, volcanic place that was supposedly Xibalbá.
